Every time I buy a car, the salespeople say that they are losing money on it. It is their way of trying to make us feel like we are getting a great deal and stop the negotiation process.
Does anyone really believe that the dealership loses money on every car that leaves the lot? Of course, they don’t – but that doesn’t stop salespeople from reciting that tired mantra.
